Bronze casting

Production of bronze sculptures and models involves the initial design and fabrication of a master pattern (usually in brass). The lost wax method of casting used is a highly skilled procedure which takes considerable experience and time to perfect.  Further details of the entire process can be found here.

The resultant bronze pieces have then to be removed from the moulds, the sprues removed and finished by polishing and patinating.  The bicycle models have to be assembled by soldering the 13 parts together with skill and precision, a process that takes many hours.
